I graduated from Salford University with a first-class honours Degree in Podiatry in 2021. My introduction to podiatry came later in life, following a diverse and rewarding career within the NHS. This background has given me a unique perspective and a deep appreciation for the vital role of foot health in overall wellbeing.

Since qualifying, I have dedicated myself to Private Practice, where I have built an extensive knowledge base and hands-on expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of common foot conditions. These include, but are not limited to, Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendinopathy, Verrucae, Ingrown Toenails, and Fungal Infections. My approach to care is always holistic, recognising that healthy feet are the foundation for a fulfilling, active lifestyle. I strive to help my patients maintain mobility and independence, so they can continue to enjoy their hobbies and everyday activities.

Over the course of my career, I have developed a particular interest in biomechanical assessments and gait analysis, which allow me to pinpoint the root causes of lower limb issues. I am passionate about rehabilitation for lower limb injuries, guiding patients through tailored treatment plans to restore strength and function. I also offer specialist therapies, such as orthotics and cutting-edge shockwave therapy, designed to optimise recovery and enhance performance.

Whether you are an athlete, a busy professional, or simply looking to improve your quality of life, my aim is to provide compassionate, evidence-based podiatric care that is responsive to your individual needs. I am committed to ongoing professional development, staying abreast of the latest research and advancements in foot health to ensure that my patients receive the highest standard of treatment and advice.

I began my education in Podiatry at Salford University in 2003, where I gained my degree. Once qualified I went on to work for the NHS where I remained till 2022. Eventually establishing myself in my own capacity I reduced my NHS hours to build on my private clientele, which resulted in my having a two-year contract with HMP (Her Majesty’s Prison service) and numerous private clinic placements.

My predominant interest lies in Nail surgery, high risk wound care and routine treatments. My customer care goals are to relieve a client’s discomfort and enable them to walk again pain free and at ease. It those results that give me personal job satisfaction.

In my career I have encountered many cases of Rheumatoid and Diabetic aliments. This inspired me to gain further education to increase my knowledge regarding these foot complaints. When I’m not working, I love the combative sports of boxing and a Martial Art called Krav Maga. I also enjoy leisurely walks, the great outdoors, travel and spending time with partner and friends. I also have an interest in Holistic therapies.

I became interested in the physiological and psychological benefits of massage 10 years ago and decided to train as a holistic therapist. Treating a person emotionally and physically just made complete sense to me. I studied at St Helens college, the Manchester school of Massage, Sylvia Hodge College of Health and Beauty and the Christie School of Oncology. Since then I’ve worked in a wide range of environments; including carers centres, leisure centre spas, and an Oncology unit, providing holistic support to patients receiving cancer treatments and chemotherapy. I have spent the last ten years gaining knowledge and experience and have learnt that everybody is unique and my treatment plans reflect this, they are tailor made to suit the individual’s needs.

I think I’m more passionate now than ever about holistics, seeing the results over the years and knowing what a difference it can make to people’s lives. I believe that no matter how much knowledge and experience we gain there is always so much more to learn. I think that we should be kinder to ourselves and to look at massage as less of a ‘treat’ or ‘pamper’ and more as part of our healthcare regime.

Health and fitness plays a big role in my life, with any spare time spent keeping active with the family, swimming, running or walking with the dogs. Past hobbies have included scuba diving; future ventures include open water swimming and canoeing.

I initially trained as a beauty therapist at Canterbury college in Kent, which is where I was living at the time.

This was a great time for me ,as I learnt a lot, especially as I could see by giving treatments, I made people feel good. It also made me feel good too, so win win.

I realised after some time that I wanted to learn more skills, so I could help more people. I decided to embark on another journey, a Holistic journey. After qualifying, life took me on a path to Helsinki Finland. It was cold, very white, but very beautiful. Although the language was a barrier, the power of touch and healing was not. This language of touch was readily understood and when coupled up with the holistic treatments they were received with open arms. This was a beautiful time giving therapies. It was so valuable, as I could see how important and how beneficial these therapies were having, and that the power of touch is so very important for all of us.

I returned to the Uk and explored and worked in many environments, where I was able to demonstrate my skills and experience, including in private homes, salons, sport centres, women / children centres, and pamper parties for corporate and community led projects.

I am passionate about promoting wellness and emotional wellbeing and know how important it is to tailor each treatment plan. I am so looking forward to my next journey with PremierPhysio and meeting new people.

Having travelled widely and undertaken many courses in healing and alternative therapies, I made the decision in 2003 to stop working and start a life changing Holistic Therapies diploma in my hometown of Cumbria. My first job was in North Lakes Spa in Penrith, later moving to Cheshire when I met my husband. Working at Cottons Spa in 2005, I became Senior Therapist then Treatments Manager before moving to Rookery Hall in 2007. During this time I had lots of babies (who also enjoy therapies) and continued to offer holistic therapies to very willing family and friends.

I started at PremierPhysio in October 2015… It’s the best job I have ever had…. wonderful clients, amazing colleagues. I plan to expand my energy work and move into crystal therapy in the future. I am passionate about my family, walking, laughing, being outdoors and generally raising vibrations with as much positivity as possible. My dream is to do therapies on Glastonbury Tor (my favourite place) at various stone circles and on The Camino De Santiago in Spain!!!

After working within an office environment for many many years, climbing the corporate ladder and working all the hours my outlook on life completely changed during the pandemic. I began my new journey into the holistic world in 2020 and I have never looked back. I started off within a clinic environment, working closely with a very talented remedial therapist. He trained in many regions across the world and taught me many skills to strengthen my knowledge of massage. I have since worked within hotel spa’s and eventually I decided to go at it alone and became a solo trader within a busy beauty salon. The passion and love I have for wellness and holistics has grown over the years and it has introduced me to many talented and amazing therapists, which brings me to my final destination at Premier Physio.

In my spare time I love to frequent the gym where I enjoy strength training, as well as ferrying my son around for his football matches. I love to meditate and I regularly treat myself to holistic therapies because we all need some self care in our lives!
